The college is situated at Gyanpur, Located at 6 km. north, Alld.- Varanasi National Highway. The District headquarter is 1 km. away from the college. Gyanpur Road railway station of NER is 6 km. north from the college and Bhadohi railway station is 10 km. south from the college. Ambiance is natural, Pollution free and Well connected with all the directions.

The area in which the Law College is situated was without a Law College and the pass out graduates from the colleges situated in the area at to go to Allahabad-73 km. or Varanasi- 73 km. or to Janupur-100 km. away. Dr. Dev Raj Singh, The founder of the college appreciated the problems of the local youths and decided to establish a law college to cater need of the local students. With changing demands of the society and its need for a developing nation the college was established with an aim to impart upgraded legal education to the needy students and it is in the memory of the Demised wife of the founder Dr. D.R. Singh.

The college got affiliation from the government from 1-07-2005 for the years and was affiliated to VBS Purvanchal University, Janupur. Bar council of India (BCI) gave its approval of affiliation for 2005-06 and 2006-07 on 19-12-2005. The approval of affiliation was extended on 13-04-2009 upto 20007-08 to 2010-11 vide latter no. BC ‘D’ -552 (2009) EMtg, 13-04-2009. Affiliating University now has been changed from VBS University, Juanpur to Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith (University) Varanasi by the gazette of U.P. 2009 for the session 2009-2010 and onward.
